The Peace Flame was first lit from the atomic fires of Hiroshima in 1945 and has been kept burning ever since as a symbol of remembrance, forgiveness and transformation.

The Peace Dome is intended to help bring calm and harmony into our often busy, complex lives, and to provide an opportunity to find stillness and rest within the excitement and intensity of a Festival. It is open to everyone to sit in silence, to meditate, to pray and to light their own flame for peace.

The central Merkabah is a Star Tetrahedron which symbolises the balance of heaven and earth and is also said to be the divine light vehicle through which we can connect with the higher realms of consciousness.
